Run the Restaurant at a Wyoming Legend

At the Historic Virginian Hotel, we don’t do boring. Built in 1911, this Western landmark has hosted travelers, ranchers, railroaders, and road-trippers for over a century. Inside, you’ll find The Pearl on the Plains—our restaurant and saloon that serves as the social hub of town.

We’re looking for a confident, hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations, drive team performance, and elevate the guest experience. This is not a clipboard-only role. This is leadership from the floor.

If you’re equal parts operator, motivator, and roll-up-your-sleeves problem solver—you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Be Doing

Restaurant Leadership – Oversee daily front- and back-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service and strong communication between kitchen, bar, and dining room.

Team Development – Hire, train, schedule, and lead servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff. Build a culture that’s accountable, positive, and guest-focused.

Service & Standards – Maintain high food quality, service consistency, and presentation standards. Work alongside the kitchen team on specials and seasonal offerings.

Guest Experience – Be visible and approachable on the floor. Handle guest feedback professionally and turn problems into loyalty.

Financial Oversight – Manage labor, control costs, monitor inventory, and protect margins without sacrificing experience.

Inventory & Vendors – Oversee ordering for food, beverage, and bar programs. Maintain vendor relationships and ensure accurate counts.

Events & Banquets – Coordinate group dinners, local events, and private functions hosted at the hotel.

Hands-On Support – When it’s busy, you’re in it. Running food, pouring drinks, solving problems. Leadership means showing up.

Who We’re Looking For

✔ Previous restaurant management experience required
✔ Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach and hold standards
✔ Financial awareness — you understand labor percentages and food cost
✔ Calm under pressure and decisive when it counts
✔ Willing to live and lead in a small-town Western community
✔ Professional, driven, and not afraid of hard work

We want someone who treats this like their restaurant.

Perks & Benefits

✔ On-site living option — Full RV hookup or housing available
✔ Be part of a true Wyoming landmark
✔ Opportunity to grow within the JET Hospitality portfolio
✔ Autonomy to lead and improve operations
✔ Live where the West is still the West

This isn’t just another management role. It’s your chance to take the reins at one of Wyoming’s most iconic historic hotels and make your mark.
