SPRING IS THE PERFECT TIME TO ESCAPE TO ESCALANTE!

Escape to Escalante this Spring!

Escalante is in peak season for stargazing, hiking, cookouts, weddings and much more. We consider this a peak season because of the benefits of it being May. There are fewer crowds, better rates, and well Goldilocks said it best the weather is “not too hot, not too cold, but just right.”  There’s no better way to enjoy Spring Break and the early peaks of Summer then by traveling to gorgeous Utah. With spring comes rain here in Utah. With rain comes clear skies for all of us travelers to take in the stunning views of the red rock formations; not to mention the subsequent adventure-pact rafting.

Escalante is encapsulated by the Grand Circle–which contains some of the best national parks in the entire United States. One of which being, Bryce Canyon. Come visit this stunning red-rock-centric natural playground. With its insane natural rock structure, the canyon is a geologist’s dream come true. Many years of water erosion have created horseshoe like structures and phantom spires also known as hoodoos.

Another great national park in the Grand circle is Escalante herself. Having the Grand Staircase as one of the best monuments in history–Escalante is known for its sandstone walls and petrified tree forest. You may even find fossilized shells and animal remains. Folktales say to only look at the petrified forest and not touch otherwise one might be cursed with bad luck. (Spooky.)

Only a short two hour drive from Escalante is Zion National Park; Utah’s oldest national park. Spend your time hiking to one of the many beautiful observation points or take a relaxing drive through the breath-taking canyon. Zion features many robust cliffs and rich greenery. With 300 days of sunshine, this park is not to miss. Adventure on the cliffs and trails on horseback with local guides giving you the history of Zion.

Escalante  is conveniently located close to the Grand Circle with all of her natural wonders. Town favorite, Escalante Cabins and RV, is sure to wow you with its friendly Innkeepers, Emma and Logan. Enjoy Cabins, Casitas, RV and tent, or glamping as lodging options. Enjoy laundry, hot showers, and a thriving community fire pit where you can meet fellow adventurers from all around.

Beat the Memorial day rush and come out to enjoy the scenery Escalante has to offer.Unlike the hustle and bustle of Zion or Kanab, with its fast growing tourism and light pollution–Escalante boasts the title one of the quietest, (and one of the darkest), places on the planet. Come see the stars from Escalante! The prices and energy are on a whole different level too; Escalante boasts better rates, availability, and a friendly small-town vibe you just can’t beat.

Wherever you may roam this travel season, we hope you get a chance to experience this magical part of the country. If you need any travel assistance with your adventures or experiences this year, drop us a line! Happy wandering.
